Recording of the first album by L’Almodí

During the weekend of 7th-9th July, the members of L’Almodí Cor de Cambra travelled to Cuenca in order to record an album devoted to the composer from Cuenca, Carlos Patiño (1600-1675). The project of musical recovery of the one who was chapel master of the Real Capilla since 1634 started thanks to the initiative of Xilos Estudio.

This first album consists of eight sacred pieces, most of them written for double choir and basso continuo which was played on the organ by Ignasi Jordà.

The album is likely to come out by the end of August and will be the first one recorded exclusively by L’Almodí Cor de Cambra after collaborating in several recordings together with Capella de Ministrers and Harmonia del Parnàs.
